CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Community members are invited to share their ideas and perspectives on the future of the Hitching Post District during a series of community conversations on Tuesday, September 1st.
The day will include three opportunities for residents, business leaders and other community members to stop by, learn more about the vision for the district and provide feedback about what they would like to see as the project moves forward.
The community conversations will take place at the following times and locations:
Morning Coffee Stop
8–10 a.m.
Paramount Cafe, Cheyenne
Midday Community Stop
11 a.m.–1 p.m.
Laramie County Library, Willow Room
Evening Engagement Event
5–7 p.m.
Black Tooth Brewery, Cheyenne
Located southwest of I-25 and I-80, the 415-acre Hitching Post District is envisioned as a mixed-use destination that brings together western heritage, tourism, hospitality, entertainment, business development, and community gathering spaces.
As planning continues, community input will play an important role in helping shape what the district can become. These informal events are designed to make it easy for community members to participate by offering several locations and times throughout the day.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their ideas, ask questions and share what types of amenities, experiences and opportunities they would like to see incorporated into the future district.
No registration is required. Community members are welcome to attend whichever session works best for their schedule.
About the Hitching Post District
The Hitching Post District is a planned mixed-use business and tourism destination in Cheyenne near the intersection of Interstates 25 and 80. The project is being developed around a vision of celebrating Wyoming’s western heritage while supporting tourism, economic development and long-term community opportunities.
