The Cheyenne Depot Museum is a private 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the Historic Union Pacific Cheyenne Depot, a National Historic Landmark located in the heart of downtown Cheyenne. Built in 1886 by the Union Pacific Railroad, the Depot is the last remaining grand railroad station on the transcontinental route and serves as an important landmark in the history of Cheyenne, rail transportation, and the American West.

Through exhibits, educational programming, events, tours, and community partnerships, the museum celebrates the people, history, and impact of the Union Pacific Railroad, the Cheyenne Depot, and the City of Cheyenne. The Depot Museum and Plaza also serve as a cultural and entertainment hub for downtown, offering opportunities for residents and visitors to connect with Cheyenne’s railroad heritage and community life.
