Cheyenne LEADS Announces 2023 Economic Development Week

Cheyenne, WY (May 2, 2022) Cheyenne LEADS will mark May 8-12, 2023, as National Economic Development Week. During this week, communities across North America celebrate and recognize the contributions made by professional economic developers to create more economically diverse communities.

Created in 2016 by the International Economic Development Council (IEDC), the largest international professional trade association for economic developers, Economic Development Week aims to increase awareness for local programs that create jobs, advance career development opportunities, and improve the quality of life in communities everywhere.

As the economic development organization for Cheyenne and Laramie County, Cheyenne LEADS will use the week to recognize, and educate the community on the importance of economic development throughout the state of Wyoming.

“Economic development is important to our community because it creates prosperity for future generations,” says Betsey Hale, CEcD – CEO of Cheyenne LEADS.
