Central Molding has a state-of-the-art injection molding production facility right here in Cheyenne. Central molding opened in 2016 but CEO Lyle Sampson says the crew has a combined 140 years of experience in the plastic industry.
“Central Molding chose Wyoming due to the State’s friendly business environment and cost-effectiveness for manufactures.” They chose Cheyenne because of its, “central location, multiple transportation options and the dry climate, which is beneficial to injection molding,” says Sampson.
The injection molding process requires the use of an injection molding machine, raw plastic material, and a mold. The plastic is melted in the injection molding machine and then injected into the mold, where it cools and solidifies into the final part.
Custom Molding’s factory floor is designed to run 24-hours a day, seven days a week. This is made possible by using a combination of quality equipment and robotic automation.
