CHEYENNE, Wyo.; March 16, 2007 – Allstate Insurance Company today announced that it is opening a new Express office in Cheyenne.
The Cheyenne Express office, along with several others throughout the country, will improve the claims experience by providing expanded service to customers and claimants.
“We’re working to build the insurance industry’s best claim organization, one that will make Allstate the insurance company of choice for consumers throughout the country,” said Carl Collins, an Allstate Claim Service Manager who will oversee the Express offices. “The creation of the Cheyenne Express office is an important milestone in this process.”
When it opens in January 2008, the Allstate Express office will bring approximately 200 new jobs to Cheyenne. Express office employees will serve as the first point of contact for the vast majority of claims. Allstate, which has a national reputation for being one of the best companies to work for, expects it will begin hiring for these jobs in September.
The Allstate Express office will occupy 28,000 square feet of the former Trilegiant building at 3001 East Pershing Blvd. Work to retrofit the building will begin immediately.
Cheyenne was one of many cities evaluated for the Allstate Express office and was ultimately chosen based on several criteria including cost of living, availability of talent and the ability to maintain operations during severe weather occurring in other parts of the country. The Department of Workforce Services’ training programs and the relationships built with Cheyenne LEADS also factored into Allstate’s decision to locate this facility in Cheyenne.
In addition to the new Express office, Allstate is looking to appoint additional agents. Allstate currently has 14 exclusive agents in Wyoming, including Cheyenne Insurance at 1518 Converse Ave.
“We are always looking for entrepreneurial individuals who are interested in opening their own business in the form of an Allstate agency,” said Jeff Kaufman, field vice president of Allstate’s West Central region which provides support to agencies in nine states, including Wyoming.
The company also plans to grow market share with the introduction of innovative new products. Wyoming was one of the initial states nationwide to receive Allstate® Your Choice Auto. Your Choice Auto allows consumers to customize their auto policies by choosing from packages with choices like Deductible RewardsSM, a new Safe Driving BonusSM or Accident Forgiveness.
