2024 Annual Meeting & Banquet – Cheyenne LEADS

CHEYENNE, Wyoming (January 30, 2024) – Cheyenne LEADS is pleased to announce Former Governor David Freudenthal will be the guest speaker at this year’s Annual Membership Meeting & Banquet to be held on Friday, April 12, 2024 at Little America in Cheyenne. No-host cocktails start at 5:30 p.m. followed by dinner at 7:00 p.m.

Dave Freudenthal served as the Governor of Wyoming from 2002-2010. Born and raised in Thermopolis, Wyoming he received his bachelor’s degree in economics from Amherst College. He began his professional career as Staff Economist at the Wyoming Department of Economic Development and Planning. After obtaining a law degree from the University of Wyoming College of Law in 1980, he began the practice of law in Cheyenne, focused on energy and natural resources. Freudenthal served as State Planning Coordinator for Governor Ed Herschler during his first term. In 1994, Freudenthal was appointed United States Attorney for the District of Wyoming (1994-2001). Freudenthal was elected Governor of Wyoming in 2002 and served for 8 years. His recently published book, Wyoming: The Paradox of Plenty, focuses on the allure and risk of the mineral economy. Governor Freudenthal continues to practice law in Cheyenne.

In addition to the Former Governors Freudenthal’s presentation, the program will include the recognition of outgoing board members and election of three new board members.

Reservations are currently being accepted. Corporate tables of eight are available for $700, while individual seating is available for $75 each. Corporate sponsorships are also welcomed at $1000 for companies interested in making an additional contribution.
